I recently met up with James, who I met through Turns All Year, for a casual outing to Mt. Baker. When skies went blue, we changed our plans and focused on Ruth Mountain instead. We were well rewarded for the effort.
TR: Summer Livin’
I’ll be the first to admit it, I’m a gun loving liberal redneck. I enjoy being a contradiction more than anything else.
There are more than a few ways to enjoy summer, in this TR I cover three of my top six summer activities: shooting guns, flying through the air, and grilling. In case you were wondering drinking beer, climbing, and mountain biking are the other three.

TR: A Trinity — The Dregs of a New Hampshire Winter
Christian and I headed over to Mount Washington this past weekend for our first trip to Tuckerman Ravine of the season. Check it out if you are interested in seeing some pictures of skiing, rock climbing, and swimming in June on the East Coast. SPA Trip #3: Fake Lucerne
Deep in The Kingdom is a very deep lake. The water is so deep in fact, that often times this lake is the very last in the region to freeze, and is icy cold even in the heat of summer. It is the work of an ice age long gone. It is flanked by hills that rise abruptly and in stark contrast to it’s surface. Fake Lucerne is a sight to behold.
