Altarondacks — Episode 1
By: Peter
March 26, 2011
With the short time we had we barely touched a fraction of this immense area, we’ll be back to explore more soon.
We hopped back into Clifford and left the NEK.
We were headed “out West”, to bigger peaks. We dropped off Carter the Powderhound in Burlington and picked up Jake the Powderhound for the dawn ferry across the pond.
Just a few hours later Jake was busting out a skin track en route to our first objective.
The snow was fresh, cold, stable, and allowed for some seriously steep ascending.
